The client’s needs were to add a study and guest/grandchildren’s suite to an existing unfinished ell and garage attic space which was previously accessed by a pull down hatch. Through adding dormers with windows which opened up the space and adding a new winding stair with balcony railing, we were able to maximize the space and play up on the roof lines to add character and make the space inviting. Custom built-in under eave cabinetry, driftwood orb pendant light, and a port hole window with views to the river are just a few of the details that add to this unique space.
