Sweeping shingle flares and additional Shingle Style detailing create a connection to the past for this Pemaquid Estate overlooking Johns Bay.
A once tired estate is brought to life through the creation of new roof lines, new front entry and porch, roof top balcony, and the entire center core re-built with renovations throughout. The new design incorporates a new elevator to access the second floor master suite and balcony, new modern eat-in kitchen with walk-in pantry, den with media center to name just a few of the modern conveniences designed into the extensive renovation.
Many aspects of the site were studied including tracking the sun’s pattern in 3-dimension to study shadows and light movement across the entry porch and façade in order to create an inviting main entry which would draw guest and owners in. Through subtle historic shingles style details including upper wall flares, round gable window with scallop shingle treatment, flared shingle bases at porch posts, custom screen doors etc.…….the estate is transformed.
