New facility for Harbor Master including public restrooms for visitors to the Town of Damariscotta
New facility for Harbor Master including public restrooms for visitors to the Town of Damariscotta: This facility provides a central, easily accessed location adjacent to the harbor and administrative space for Harbor Master functions. Included in the planning are public restrooms for use by both the boating community and the general public visiting the downtown area businesses, shops, restaurants or simply taking in all that downtown Damariscotta offers.
The project explored several exterior material and façade concepts including combinations of brick, granite, clapboard siding, shingle siding in keeping with the existing context of the Town, providing budgetary options and maintenance impacts for the Town’s consideration. This building will be an integral part to the envisioned overall comprehensive plan for the waterfront area.
