Port Clyde Residence
The owners desire was to design a new entry and bring more character to an existing large sprawling cottage with very large massing and turn it into a more pleasing and inviting cottage. Through adding an entry porch, and new windows, and splitting the building height with a shingle flare, we were able bring a smaller sense of scale to the large façade and create a more inviting approach. A cupola, various siding shingle details and trellises were also designed to integrate Shingle Style details that bring a recognizable style to the overall buildings.
