St. George Residence
Sitting high overlooking the St. George River, this Residence takes on a new presence with dramatic sweeping rooflines featuring the warmth of Douglas fir boards under the eaves and dark green trim with natural cedar shingles tying into the surrounding Fir tree surroundings. The corner tower features a dining room on the first floor and captures a birds eye view from the second floor study. Internally the spaces are arranged around a catwalk featuring stainless steel cable railing and custom sweeping cherry newel detail. The exterior is also detailed with shingle flare accents at the tower and base of the building creating a relationship between indoor and outdoor details. The kitchen features custom hand build cabinetry, recycled barnwood floating shelves and a recycled copper oversized sink. Just outside the kitchen side door is dramatic granite terrace built from oversized slabs and a raised kitchen garden for the cook. A blend of Shingle style, Craftsman style and a modern edge create this unique retreat style Residence with sweeping views over the tree line to the bay below.
